Explore how breath and movement can shift your experience with depression.
While sadness is an emotion we all share from time to time, depression is a mind-body condition that effects our ability to function in relationships and in our daily tasks. Our experiences of depression can be quite different - one person feels sadness, another lacks motivation, for example. In this workshop, we'll review what depression is, how it can manifest differently in the mind-body and how we can use yoga and other mindfulness practices to heal. One need not be depressed to attend. We can all benefit from an uplifting yoga practice and techniques, that when practiced consistently help us to manage and heal when our moods are out of balance.
